Torch Lake Michigan
Within thirty minutes to an hour from common destinations of Traverse City, Charlevoix, Gaylord and Petoskey, it is Michigan’s longest inland lake at 18 miles long, and covers an area of 29 square miles! One of the things that makes this lake so unusual is its’ amazingly beautiful color. It is a mixture of light green, blue and turquoise -- very similar to colors seen in the Caribbean. It is great for boating, swimming, fishing or any other water sport that you can imagine. If you are a fisherman, you will discover it is a fantastic fishing lake with rock bass, yellow perch, small mouth bass, lake trout, brown and rainbow trout and more.
