The Henry Ford is a quick family vacation that is family friendly and reasonably priced. The village is closed after the beginning of January, but the museum is open year round.

Both attractions have all sorts of holiday themed programs like the historical home tour and visits with Santa.This winter there is a costume exhibit that promises fun for all ages.

It is a quick jaunt for Metro-Detroiters, but it is worth checking the price on hotel and admission packages made available through their website.

Here’s a tip: visit the museum one year and the village the next.
