The Cairn in Kewadin, Michigan

by Amy
(Mulliken MI)

Visitor's Suggestion for a Unique Place to Visit:

This monument built to honor Hugh Gray (who was the 'Dean of Michigan's Tourist Activity' according to the plaque on his pyramid.) It has stones representing every county in MI, and it marks the 45th paralel 1/2 way between the equator and the North pole.

It is a great Photo op for a crowd--look up this out of the way place when you are visiting nearby Traverse City, Elk Rapids or Torch Lake.
