Hometown Insider TipsMy Hometown Tips Submitted by CarolHi, I am about 18 miles from downtown Suttons Bay and drive there when wanting to take a cruise. I just follow the water on West Bay in Traverse City. Michael Moore's film fest is in nearby Traverse City in the summer as is the National Cherry Festival. Last Summer I was in Suttons Bay dining on the Main Street, a small area, small town. Known Book stores, a used book store and popular online book store, makes it's home base here, just off main street. There is a small movie house that is selective in the quality of movies it shows. I don't know when/where I heard this but I still look and base my decisions about watching some movies on if they are playing at Suttons Bay. It is a small pretty town with some simpler days appeal but also today world connection. Because the town is along the bay, it is a straight shot without any intersecting roads. This naturally will keep traffic and building down in some ways and preserve it's get a way feel. Where to You Want to Go Next?
