Sturgeon Bay - Emmet County, MI

I grew up in Northern Michigan, and the part about it I miss most is Sturgeon Bay. I spent my summers there, lazing on the clean, sandy shores and swimming in the calm waters of the bay.

The water was clear and cold, and I would often snorkel far from shore exploring the ruins of an old dock.

If you're used to commercial beaches, this might not be the place for you - there aren't any boardwalks or ice cream shops, or seagulls clamoring for your lunch.

Instead, it's a wild, beautiful place where you can get away from the world for a few hours.
