Sleepy Bear Campground Empire, Michigan

Visitor Favorite Campground: The campground I stayed at was Sleepy Bear Campground. It is located in Empire, Michigan just 6 miles from Sleeping Bear Dunes and 3 miles to Lake Michigan and The Glen Lakes.

I have stayed there a couple of times, but the last time I was there was last year around July.

Sleepy Bear is a really beautiful place. You are surrounded by tall trees and the beautiful Lake Michigan. Sleepy Bear is known for its Sleeping Bear Dune. It is a climb to get up but once you are up there it overlooks the water.

It is really a beautiful sight. Other activities are swimming, fishing, and hiking. It is my favorite campground because you get to be out in the wild and camp, but the also have amenities such as restrooms and showers.
