Shanty Creek Winter Vacation

Shanty Creek can be enjoyed at any time of the year (for example, there is awesome golfing there), but it is in the wintertime that the resort shines. Especially if you are a skier.

Situated right in the middle of Northern Michigan's "snowbelt," absolutely awesome opportunities abound for both downhill and cross country skiing. Non-skiers (i.e., my brother-in-law!) can use snowshoes to take walks through breathtaking landscapes.

There is also an abundance of high-caliber places to stay and eat here. We also feel that this place is more down-to-earth than ski resorts in Colorado or Western Canada.

This is truly a place for nature lovers, especially if you love the winter months.
