Our family thinks that Traverse City is a little piece of heaven on earth. If we can manage to get reservations at a condo on the beach…we could stay the whole summer long! With Jet Boat and Sea Do rentals, we have plenty of choices when we want to do more than relax.

Traverse City is such a cool town. You will love it!

Grand Haven

Good Morning America named Grand Haven one of the top five family beaches in America in 2005. (The other four beaches included; Hilton Head-South Carolina, Turtle Bay-Oahu Hawaii, Carlsbad-California and St. John-Virgin Islands.) With its’ beautiful dunes, cool clear waters and fantastic sunsets, Grand Haven is a perfect getaway destination.

In fact, if you like people watching…this is the place to be. There is so much to do within a short walking distance!

Grand Haven is a romantic date designation and a family fun adventure getaway all in the same place!

P.J. Hoffmaster State Park , Muskegon

If you are looking to combine camping with the beach, P.J. Hoffmaster State Park is my favorite choice! Camp in the midst of forest-covered dunes a short hike to nearly three miles of spectacular Lake Michigan shoreline. Its sandy beach is one of the finest and most beautiful anywhere.

It is like being on your own secluded beach surrounded by nature’s most beautiful landscape anywhere!

Other Great Destinations for a Michigan Beach Vacation:

If it is adventure that you are looking for in a beach vacation, then rev up your 4-wheeler or rent a jeep, because Silver Lake Sand Dunes are the only place in Michigan were you can actually drive up on the dunes. You can also hike the dunes, rent a pontoon boat, speedboat or Jet Ski and enjoy beautiful Silver Lake.

Ludington

Like biking or hiking? Then Ludington is a great vacation choice. With 18 miles of trails...you will never run out of things to do. You could also charter a boat and get out on Lake Michigan. It also has miles of great beaches for relaxing, swimming, picnicking, building sand castles in the sun.

Saugatuck

We can’t forget Saugatuck! It’s Oval Beach the number one beach in the Midwest by the Chicago Tribune and 5th Best Small Town Getaway in the Midwest by Midwest Living Magazine. This cute little town is a great Michigan beach choice.
