Marquette--Sugar Loaf Mountain

by Rachael
(Brighton, CO USA)

Sugar Loaf Mountain

Sugar Loaf Mountain

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been on Earth. It is right along the shore of Lake Superior, and even in Mid-July, the temperatures are very mild.

You can walk out on the overhang of a low cliff and watch the waves break against the shore. Be careful not to be there when the waves are breaking really hard--you may get knocked into the Lake!

From there, you can take a stroll out to the lighthouse, and race to the end of the pier. It is truly a spectacular place with its beauty. It has a wonderful small town feel, and everybody knows everybody else in this beautiful, quaint little slice of heaven on earth.
