Vacation Tips from a Manistee Insider:

My favorite thing about Manistee is the water. You can get to Lake Michigan in about 5 minutes from anywhere in town. You are also never more than about those same 5 minutes from an awesome Michigan beach vacation spot.

There is First Street beach, Fifth Avenue Beach and the State Park which also sits along the lake shore.

Plenty of the people also come to Manistee for the fishing. If that’s your thing, then Manistee is the place for you! Not mention the ability for water sports from all of our lake access spots.

There is also a casino for those who like to gamble which includes a large hotel for its guests.

There are many hotels to choose from for your stay in Manistee.

One of my favorite restaurants in Manistee is the Bungalow Inn. At the Bungalow they have just about everything you could want to eat. It’s a very nice place to go out with a date for the night.

If you are looking for a book, the Manistee County Library is an original Carnegie library and is a little bit of history right near downtown.

Right across from the library is the Ramsdell Theater, a favorite of James Earl Jones. The Ramsdell Theater offers plays, musical, and a venue for weddings and proms. Manistee is known as the Victorian Port City and would be a great place to visit on your next vacation! Come visit me here! You'll love it!
