Mackinaw Camping at Mill Creek

Mackinac Bridge View from in Front of Our Cabin

Visitor Favorite Campground: If you are looking for great Mackinaw camping options, you may want to try Mackinaw Mill Creek campground, but stay in their cool cabins if you go.

They are only about a mile from the ferries to Mackinac Island so it is a perfect location if you want to camp, but also spend some time going back and forth to the island.

The RV and camper area is a little crowded for our taster but they have these wonderful little cabins that are perfect and each has its own bathroom with a shower.

They are laid out really nicely for families with a bunk room for the kids and a large bed for the parents. They also had a kitchenette for making meals.

The campground itself has a heated pool for everyone to enjoy, a camp store and even an option to golf.

However, the best part is the view. We had a “Bridgeview” cabin that had an absolutely perfect view of the Mackinaw Bridge! So at night, you can sit by the campfire, roast marshmallows and see the lights of the bridge over the water.

Mackinaw Camping

The only problem with camping at Mill Creek in the cabins is that it is so hard to get into.

If you have your own camper or RV and can't get into Mill Creek, Wilderness Sate Park is not too far away and is very nice, too.
