Visitor Favorite Campground: Ludington, MI there is so much to do and it is so beautiful..Lake Michigan Beach one one side and Hamlin Lake on the other...boardwalk for the little ones to fish and miles of trails! It is gorgeous...only down fall is it is hard to get in!

Beautiful, Lake Michigan plus smaller lake, damn for tubing or floating out to Lake Michigan. LOTS of biking available.

Location, site layout, amenities. This park is a complete package and has something for EVERYONE! It is also run by a first class organization, DNRE.

Camping friends have told us for years that Ludington was the best state park in Michigan for family camping, but they are always booked.

The key to getting into this campground is to book in advance through the internet. Michigan allows you to reserve state parks 6 months in advance. So mark your calendar in the middle of winter to get online and reserve your spot.

I know it may be the middle of February when you reserve it but you will be glad that you did!
