Visitor Favorite Michigan Beaches: All the beaches mentioned are on the west side of Michigan. These are indeed great beaches, but there are also some very nice and equally sandy beaches on “The Sunrise Side”.

The stretch of Lake Huron Coast from Harrisville to Oscoda is wonderful and this continues south on to East Tawas. The coast is dotted with numerous lakefront vacation cabins on beautiful, sugar-sand beaches.

The Sunrise Side is often overlooked as a Michigan travel destination which means that the beaches are not as crowded, the costs are lower and the pace of life is relaxing. Try the sunrise side.
