Here are some travel tips that he gave us: Vacation Tips from a Travel Insider:Gaylord is a Beautiful Place Anytime Submitted by John B.In the winter time you can visit the Treetops Resort for skiing. Considered the "buckle" of the "Snow Belt" this area receives about 175 inches of snow per year. There are ski instructors and instructors for snowboarding, too. With 23 ski runs, a tubing run and cross country ski trails, there are lots of choices for playing in the snow. They rent equipment, too. The Village Ski Haus also is a wonderful store for shopping. In the summer time you can also visit Treetops for swimming at the indoor or outdoor pools, horseback riding, fly-fishing, hiking, biking, tennis and of course golf. Five golf courses offer a variety of terrain for an amazing golfing experience. You can take lessons at the golf academy and rent or purchase golf equipment and clothing at two golf shops: North Club House Shop and the Jones Club House Shop. There are many more golf courses and resorts in the area! You can also visit the Call of the Wild Museum during any season. There are numerous exhibits of the region's wildlife to see. You might also dine at Bennethum's Northern Inn-- a family-owned restaurant where many of the family members work to provide good food.
