Detroit Vacation

So...we asked a Detroit native to give us the inside scoop on all the must-see places to go and things to do are in the area to share with you.

Here are some travel tips that he gave us:

Detroit Travel Tips from a Local:

Detroit has plenty for you to do. So many restaurants, museums, sports events, etc. For starters, you must head downtown and go to the Greektown District. Lots of great restaurants down there (Fishbone's and Pegasus are my favs.) While all the Detroit casinos are great, one of three casinos are also located right down there in Greektown.

Next head to Campus Martius. If it's the summer or spring time, you will more than likely find some kind of event going on down there and in the winter, you can head down there and ice skate.

Henry Ford Museum is nationally known and it's a great place for a day trip with the family. Greenfield Village is also part of the complex.

Another great thing for the family would be to take a day trip over to Canada and enjoy another country not less than 5 minutes away!!
