Canoe Michigan's Au Sable River

by James P.

Canoe Michigan's Au Sable River

Canoe Michigan's Au Sable River

I really enjoyed my time canoing the Au Sable River near Grayling MI. It was a great time and my family enjoyed it. The river moves fairly slowly and it makes for a lazy trip down the river. You could tube or row as well. We stopped and bar-b-qued on the banks for lunch and then continued down the river to our rendezvous point. I recommend this to all!

Be sure to stop in to Carlisle Canoes in downtown Grayling! They'll put you in and pick you up, using your own canoe/kayak or one of their rentals. The Au Sable is absolutely beautiful, a perfect getaway in Michigan's best.
