When we were searching for our next vacation destination, Cadillac may have never crossed your mind. But the more you look into all it has to offer…the more you will realize that this may just be just the cool little place to take your next family trip. Plus it’s not just for summer or winter activities either. With skiing and snowmobiling, fishing and canoing, hunting and mountain biking, horseback riding, swimming, camping and more… there is plenty to do at any time of the year. Winter ActivitiesIf you plan on going there for the winter definitely try Cadillac Michigan snowmobiling. The trails in the forest have beautiful scenery to catch a glimpse of as you make your way through Manistee National and Pere Marquette State Forest. In the event you feel riding a snowmobile is not your cup of tea you can always visit while the Snow X Races take place every February. Bringing along your skis and snowboards is always a wise decision with the Caberfae Peaks area in Cadillac. There are plenty of hills to suit your experience and well placed dips and moguls for the veteran jumpers. Add 137 miles of trails for cross-country skiing, sledding or even a little ice skating on the lakes making it quite the winter getaway. Summer FunFast forward a little to the spring and summer time…where the activities never cease. 
As the weather begins to warm up a bit all the cabin fever golfers tend to make their way to the golf courses around the area. With seven courses to choose from in the surrounding area you'll be hitting those white little balls in no time. Best part is while if you are the only one who likes golfing… the rest of the family will still have plenty to do. If everyone likes outdoor activities they can bike or roller blade on the seven mile path that surrounds Lake Cadillac. The kids will enjoy Adventure Island which has putt-putt, batting cages, go-carts, and even swimming for when the weather is warmer. Frisbee golf, tennis, and bowling are just a few more things to do on land that everyone will enjoy. You can also find several places to shop to take a little of Cadillac home. Several antique stores head the list along with other shops specializing in jewelry, books, and furniture. Then of course you can't miss the Sweet Shop which has over 100 different candies to choose from to cure those cravings. If you like camping, Camp Cadillac is another great choice. It is a nice clean campground with lots of fun activities including a petting zoo, hayrides, barrel train rides and a really nice pool.
