I remember as a child how much fun I had trying to run down the dunes faster than my dad. It is fun to see my own kids trying that same thing today! You can hike from Silver Lake Michigan on one side right to the Lake Michigan shoreline on the other. Don’t forget the camera. The views are spectacular! Like to Play in the Water?If you are like us and love water play, there are boats and wave runners are available for you to cruise around Silver Lake and enjoy the scenery of the dunes in the background. Don’t forget to cool off with a swim in Lake Michigan or build a sandcastle at the beach!The east side of the lake is so shallow that you can walk out really far and it is still up to your knees. The dune side of the lake is quite different...it drops off very quickly!
